"Belle Brooks destroys her readers.
Okay, it's in the best possible way but after reading Finding the Magician, you'll undoubtedly want to strangle her and hug her all in the same motion.
This is the final instalment of Marcus and Abi's epic love story. And it is a truly epic love story. I couldn't help but to be on Abi's side cheering for her, hoping, wishing, praying (and maybe even tossing a few threats in the authors direction) while Abi not only found the man of her dreams again, but also herself. Abi's undeniable resilience was inspiring.
And Marcus. He's... well, he's simply Abi's lobster. He knew it from the start and he never gave up, no matter how many times life tried to force him to his heart simply couldn't let her go.
So, my instructions to you:
1. Read the books in order
2. Make sure you stock pile tissues and chocolate before reading (you're going to need it)
3. Take a day off work (you won't want to put it down)
4. Curse Belle's name because of the emotional wringer she's put you through
5. Take a moment, sit back and think about what Brooks is trying to remind you of (life is fleeting... love hard, sing loud, eat the cake, die laughing)"

- I really don't know how to start this review. I don't know if I even have the words to do this book justice. To say it was amazing is such an understatement. It was so much more than amazing. This book is so full of love, trust, doubts, insecurities, joy, happiness, heartbreak, family, friends, elation, despair and more that I'm unable to remember at the moment. I actually finished Finding the Magician two days ago and have used these days to process it all, to wrap my head around it and heal my heart. I have not even been able to start another book. Ms. Brooks took me on such a journey through this series that when it came to reading FTM I wanted to do it slow and easy. I wanted to prolong the reading. I didn't want it all to end. I was so engrossed in the lives of Abi, Marcus, Sammy, Jackson and everyone else that they seemed so much more than characters in a book. I have felt so many emotions through this book and the entire series. This was truly the very first book I have ever read that made me cry. And I mean the big tears, runny nose, sobbing, ugly cry. I don't want to give anything away, but it was the perfect completion to the series. Even though it ripped my heart out and stomped all over it. Even though I was cursing Ms. Brooks throughout the last chapter. Would I recommend this series? Hell yeah I would! I would also tell you that you have to start with Thirty Days Part One. In order to get the full enjoyment of Finding the Magician you HAVE to go through their entire journey. You will not regret this book, or this series. I wish I could give more than 5 stars.

5. Take a moment, sit back and think about what Brooks is trying to remind you of (life is fleeting... love hard, sing loud, eat the cake, die laughing) - I've read the first two books (thirty days part one and two) so I went into this expecting the same feel in terms of writing and the plot. Boy was I wrong lol! There's a lot of plot twists, but things get wrapped up with Abi and Marcus. It wasn't the cheesy oh the games are over, i love you, lets stay together type plot that is way to common. Belle would never make it that easy lol, Marcus has much more to explain about the time he was gone. How he was hidden but obvious, the lengths he went through for Abigail even when she had no clue. While the first two books were a steady read, this one is a fast read simply because I couldn't put it down. The ending, oh lord that ending will hurt. Have your kleenex ready to go. Overall, I'm glad Belle Brooks stepped outside of the typical and very predictable series ending. She throws you through a loop, you have no idea when the twists are going to happen, it has more grit and depth to it, and the characters have some surprising things to share. Belle, you did perfect with this one, I loved it so much and will definitely be reading the series again )
- I'm baffled. I think I will need some time to just really process what I have read.
Once again, Belle Brooks leaves me astonished and completely speechless. My heart it just aches. It's so full yet ... God, wow! And that ending...
I'm not sure how she does it. She's a witch and her stories her spells, she ensnares her readers with heartbreaking beauty. All of her stories contain a lesson. A lesson for life, for love, for gratitude. There's a million things I want to say about this but everything I type out contains a spoiler and I just can't do that to the next reader. Go into this and expect to come out changed.
Love, happiness it isn't about the amount of time/money spent on someone. It's about the moment. That ONE moment, the one that gives your entire life meaning.
My heart hurts, my eyes and nose are so damn puffy, I think I should invest in stock at a tissue company.
The beauty that was Thirty Days part 1, 2 and The Magician is beyond anything. I was rocked by Always You, but these have earned their place in my heart.
Belle Brooks, whatever you do, don't stop writing. You are amazing. - Changing things up and being told from alternating points of view, which will make sense to readers who've experienced the doozy of a cliffhanger at the end of Thirty Days Part Two, Finding the Magician changes things up in more ways than just that. After two books where in one fashion or another Marcus was chasing Abigail, now the tables have been turned and it's Abigail who's searching for Marcus. A Marcus who's gone to great lengths to remove himself from his old life and isn't so hard to find. A Marcus who has suffered and changed as a result far more than Abigail knows or is prepared for.
In some ways darker, more gritty, and perhaps not surprisingly more realistic that it's predecessors, I found this book to be the crowning glory of the series. Powerful in the way it plays with the reader's emotions and confounding in how the twists and turns of the plotline seem to come from nowhere, blindsiding the reader time and time again.
A beautiful story written with finesse that totally tore my heart out in the best way possible. Thanks for that
