"good book for the first time traveler to Mexico. It is important for the "gringo" to remember that Mexico is not the US--just as the US is not Mexico. Let's us respect and honor each others culture."

- The author did a wonderful job with the content of this book. Could only have been written by someone that understands Mexico and latin American citizens. The down side is the size of the print. TOO SMALL for the adverage reader to see. If you don't have great eyes and good lighting, you will have trouble reading this book. Covers a lot of topics that a tourst wouldn't think about. While I loved this book, me eyes questioned my intelligence.
- Came exactly as described. No complaints.
- This book is real helpful if you're planning a trip to Mexico. I don't mean Cancun or Veracruz, real Mexico, off the coast. Or if you live or work with Hispanics in your hometown, it's also beneficial to know more about their culture. And hey, it never hurts to learn more about someone else.
- good book for the first time traveler to Mexico. It is important for the "gringo" to remember that Mexico is not the US--just as the US is not Mexico. Let's us respect and honor each others culture.
- I was disappointed in this book. I didn't learn anything new.I thought it would focus more on cultural point of view than it does.
- This wee book is chocker with short interesting articles on a wide variety of topics that have to do with the country of Mexico. The only thing that keeps it from getting that extra star is the smallish type.
- Although not a very big book, I found the information in 'When in Mexico' very accurate and very helpful. It was good to get some inside 'tips' that could save some embarrasment or hurt feelings when traveling in that great country, such as what time to arrive at someone's house for dinner, when it's not ok to haggle over prices, etc. The format of the book was kind of interesting, but it was still an easy read.
